Nice relaxing weekend...
It has sure been an interesting weekend. Marc and I have been through some serious trials and for a few minutes there I wasn't sure we were going to make it out together but we did...thank goodness.
Anyway it all started on Thursday when I discovered that the money I had sent electronically to Ursula James (the lady who made my wedding flowers) didn't get to her. It seems that I accidently sent the money to someone else account. *sigh* there goes 390. But I called the bank and they are going to try and get it back for me so that's a plus I guess.
On friday I got my my tax payment back which was a nice $1,676 (which is not a lot of money considering we have a wedding and move across the ocean to pay for) so I'd told Marc he could go and buy his suit and Scott's suit (we were getting 2 for $300 which was good and Melwissa was going to give us the $100 for Scotty's suit), my ring and a few other things for the wedding. Little did I know that I was going to need all of that money come Saturday. Oh well. After Marc had done some shopping he caught to train to me at work (which is in Murarrie, Brisbane) so we could go to the city straight from here and get some things for the invitations etc.
We got to the city about 16.30 (I got out early because our computers were broken) decided to park on the street but the City Botanical Gardens and went to spend some money. It was about 21.00 by the time we were ready to go home we went back to where my car should have been only to work out that it had been towed.
Great I thought just what we needed, I knew I should have listened when I kept thinking about someone towing my car all night. Oh well...again. By this time Marc is getting really stressed out and is starting to act out a little (we had my $800 ring and about $500-600 worth of wedding clothing in the car)...so we have a little disagreement of opinions and started walking to the train station so we can get home to borrow dad's car so we can go and get mine so Marc wouldn't stress so much. We then figure out it's going to cost us $282 to get it from the impound, it would have cost us $80 less if we went to get it the next day but we couldn't wait because we were supposed to move the next day.
So by the time we had waited 25 minutes to get into the impound paid for the car and driven home it was about 11.30 so I tucked Marc in and left to go home. And by the time I'd finished talking to Miranda it was about 1AM so I went to bed. Next morning (Saturday) I was up at 7.55 lucky me and I got dressed and went to pick up Marc as we were going to help Miranda move and I was moving to Aunty Janis's. Anyway the day went by without to much hassal, though we did notice the distant lack on money.
So now everyone had moved and I was doing some washing at dad's house while Marc and I look on the internet for guest book ideas. The washing had been going for about an hour or so and despite the strange gurgling sounds coming from the laundry room we didn't bother checking till Marc went to check on something else and we realized half the house was covered with 3 inches of water.
That was pretty much it for Marc he could take it anymore and had a mini break down. Whilst he was doing that I explained to the parents (who had just come home from helping Miranda, Michael and Adien move to the Sunshine Coast) what had happened and they called the insurance and the carpet guy and all we could do was get rid of as much water as we could till he came. Anyway the guy came at about 12.30 Am and by that time I had gone home only to realize my house key didn't work so I'd come back to sleep over so I didn't have to sleep in my car.
Overnight Marc got a cold and was feeling horrible and I had a migraine. So we went to sacrament talked to bishop and then came home to mull over our injuries and talk to Mere and Pere (Marc's mum and Dad).
But as you can tell everything worked out for the better and we ate Fix It Soup together and all is back to the way it should be

Caving into the pressure...
Hey it's me and this is the first time I've written...so ya I've caved into the need for people to know what I'm doing. I figure if I do it this way at least I don't have to repeat myself over and over again. SO this is what's happening.
The wedding is about 11 weeks away and we've decided to have a picnic reception after being married in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints temple in Brisbane. The colour theme is a few shades of pink and white (I'm obsessed with Cherry Blossom's so I decided to incorporate it into the most important day of my life). We thought it would be a nice way to relax and enjoy my beautiful home before moving overseas to Canada, which is Marc's home.
As you can imagine like most weddings we are heavily involved in everything and yes I mean him too. Marc does everything with me we make all the choices together. We've just this weekend sorted out the Bridesmaids and Groomsman which we have been trying to do since getting engaged almost 7 months ago. Finally most of the issues have been solved and we are just finalizing it all.
My dress is being made by my oh so talented mum but is on hold at the moment while she moves, it'll get done. Marc's suit is still under construction (meaning we haven't found one we really liked enough yet) seeing as we would like a charcoal suit most we look at are to dark and the other half are grey... :S we'll find one eventually.
Other then that we seem to have everything else under control. Which is good because I over think a lot and I get pretty stressed some times.
